Graham Whittle was one of Wrexham’s key forwards in the 1970s: powerful, direct and a major part of the club’s rise under John Neal. He spent more than a decade at the club and scored 118 competitive goals in 396 first-team appearances, becoming one of the most productive strikers of that era. He was especially important in the late 1970s, helping Wrexham win promotion to the Second Division in 1977/78, and he earned the club’s Player of the Season award in 1976/77. Supporters remember him for his fierce shot, physical presence and his role in one of Wrexham’s strongest modern sides.
