Phil Parkinson has become one of the most important managers in Wrexham’s history because he turned ambition into sustained success. Appointed in July 2021, he first endured a near miss in 2021/22, when Wrexham lost in the play-offs and FA Trophy final, but then delivered three straight promotions: the National League title in 2022/23, promotion from League Two in 2023/24, and promotion from League One in 2024/25. By then, he had taken the club into the Championship for the first time in decades and overseen its most successful modern rise. More than hype, Parkinson gave Wrexham structure, resilience and a winning edge.
