Kenny Miller was an important striker for Wolves in the early 2000s. He first joined on loan from Rangers in September 2001, scored twice in five games, then signed permanently that December. Across his Wolves spell he played 191 games and scored 63 goals, giving the side pace, movement and work rate up front. His best season was 2002–03, when he hit top form in the run-in and helped Wolves win promotion through the First Division play-offs, also scoring in the final build-up. He stayed until 2006 and is remembered as a key player in that promotion-winning side.
