Diogo Jota was one of the key players in Wolves’ modern rise. He joined on loan from Atlético Madrid in 2017, the deal was made permanent in 2018, and he became a major force under Nuno Espírito Santo. Jota scored 17 league goals in the 2017–18 Championship promotion season, then helped Wolves establish themselves in the Premier League with his pace, pressing, and sharp finishing. Across all competitions, he scored 44 goals in 131 appearances for the club before joining Liverpool in September 2020. He is remembered as one of the standout attackers of Wolves’ post-promotion era.
