John Richards is one of Wolves’ greatest-ever forwards. He played for the club from 1969 to 1983, scored 194 goals in 485 appearances, and remains one of the top scorers in club history. He was a central figure in Wolves’ strong sides of the 1970s and early 1980s, helping win the League Cup in 1974 and 1980. He also played in the club’s run to the 1972 UEFA Cup final. Because of his goalscoring record and long service, he is regarded as a Wolves legend and was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame.
