West Ham United won the 1964 FA Cup Final, securing their first major trophy. The final was played on 2 May 1964 at Wembley, where West Ham beat Preston North End 3–2 in an exciting match. Goals for West Ham came from John Sissons, Geoff Hurst, and Ronnie Boyce, with Boyce scoring the late winner. Managed by Ron Greenwood, this victory marked the beginning of a golden era. It was followed by success in the 1965 European Cup Winners’ Cup, cementing West Ham’s place in English football history.
