West Ham United won the 1964 FA Cup Final, the club’s first major trophy. Played at Wembley on 2 May 1964, West Ham beat Preston North End 3–2 in a dramatic final. Goals came from John Sissons, Geoff Hurst, and Ronnie Boyce, with Boyce scoring the late winner. Managed by Ron Greenwood, the victory marked the start of a golden period for West Ham, followed by their 1965 European Cup Winners’ Cup triumph.
