Luther Blissett is one of Watford’s greatest ever players and the club’s all-time leading goalscorer. He was central to Graham Taylor’s rise in the late 1970s and early 1980s, helping Watford climb from the lower divisions to the First Division. Fast, powerful and clinical, Blissett was key in the 1982 promotion and the 1982–83 season, when Watford finished 2nd in the top flight. His goals earned him England caps and a move to AC Milan in 1983, though he later returned to Watford. He remains a legendary figure at Vicarage Road.
