Darragh Power was one of Waterford’s key homegrown defenders of recent years. A right-back who came through the club’s academy, he played with Waterford’s U17s in 2017, made his senior debut in January 2018, and became a regular first-team figure from 2019 onward. By the time he left at the end of 2024, he had made 140 appearances for his hometown club. He was part of the side that won promotion back to the Premier Division under Alan Reynolds, so his Waterford spell is mainly remembered for consistency, development and helping drive the club’s return upward before moving to Cheltenham Town.
