Ben Davies (born 1993) debuted for Wales in 2012 and has become a modern mainstay, reaching 100 caps and scoring 3 goals. A composed left-sided defender, he’s valued for versatility—able to play left-back or as a left centre-back in a back three. At Euro 2016 he started every match, including a crucial early goal-line clearance in the opener vs Slovakia, as Wales surged to the semi-finals. He later featured at Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup, and (as of early 2026) is Wales captain.
