Craig Bellamy was a high-impact Wales forward from 1998–2013, winning 78 caps and scoring 19 goals. A rapid, aggressive runner who pressed from the front, he often carried Wales’ attack with direct dribbling and sharp movement in behind. He produced one of his signature international moments in Wales’ 2–1 win over Italy in 2002, scoring a late winner in a famous qualifier night in Cardiff. Bellamy captained Wales for several years (stepping down as injuries mounted) and retired after the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
