DaMarcus Beasley was one of the most versatile and enduring players in United States men’s national team history. He earned 126 caps and scored 17 goals for the USMNT from 2001 to 2017. Early in his career he was a fast, direct winger; later he successfully reinvented himself as a left back, which helped extend his international career. Beasley remains the first U.S. man to play in four World Cups: 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2014. He also won four Gold Cups and captained the U.S. in the 2013 tournament. He was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2023.
