Harry Redknapp’s Spurs spell (2008–2012) kick-started the club’s modern rise. Taking over with Tottenham near the bottom, he stabilised the team fast, played bold, attacking football, and rebuilt confidence around key talents like Modrić, Bale and Van der Vaart. The peak was 2009–10, when Spurs finished 4th to reach the Champions League for the first time, then followed it with a famous 2010–11 run to the quarter-finals (including hammering Inter). Redknapp wasn’t about rigid systems—more momentum and man-management—but he made Spurs feel big again.
