Hugo Lloris was Tottenham’s long-time captain and one of the club’s best modern keepers. Signed from Lyon in 2012, he became first choice almost immediately—quick off his line, elite reflexes, and a calm organiser behind the defence. He was a key pillar of the Pochettino era, helping Spurs become top-four regulars and reaching the 2019 Champions League final. Lloris captained club and country, lifting the 2018 World Cup with France while at Spurs. Errors did creep in later as his pace and sharpness dipped, but he left as a genuine modern great and leader.
