Les Ferdinand (“Sir Les”) was Spurs’ main goal threat in the mid-1990s. Signed from QPR in 1992, he brought power, pace, and classic No.9 finishing—strong in the air, sharp on the turn, and ruthless in the box. He hit 20+ league goals in his first two Spurs seasons and was a rare bright spot in a team that often lacked consistency. Injuries later blunted his impact, but at his peak he was one of the Premier League’s top strikers. He left in 1997, remembered as a properly feared centre-forward at White Hart Lane.
