Jermaine Jenas was a key midfielder for Spurs in the late 2000s, signed from Newcastle in 2005 and used both as a central runner and, at times, off the left. At his best he brought energy, ball-carrying, and late runs into the box, helping Spurs transition from a mid-table side into regular European contenders. He was part of the 2008 League Cup–winning squad and had big moments in high-profile games, though injuries and inconsistency sometimes disrupted his rhythm. Jenas made around 200 appearances for Tottenham before leaving in 2013, remembered as an important piece of that pre-Pochettino rise.
