Gareth Bale’s Spurs story is peak “from prospect to superstar.” Signed from Southampton in 2007 as a left-back, he struggled early, then exploded into a devastating winger with blistering pace and a cannon left foot. His breakout was 2010 (that hat-trick at Inter), and by 2012–13 he was basically unstoppable—late winners, long-range screamers, and single-handed match-turning runs. He won PFA Player of the Year and carried Spurs into Europe before his 2013 move to Real Madrid. His 2020–21 loan return brought goals, but the legend is the first spell.
