Gareth Bale’s Spurs story is basically a superhero origin. Signed from Southampton in 2007 as a left-back, he struggled early, then transformed into a devastating winger: lightning pace, brutal left foot, and a knack for game-changing moments. His breakout came in 2010 (hat-trick at Inter), and under Redknapp and then AVB he became Spurs’ main weapon—destroying teams on the counter, scoring screamers, and deciding tight matches alone. In 2012–13 he hit a ridiculous peak (PFA Player of the Year, constant late winners) before leaving for Real Madrid in 2013. He returned on loan in 2020–21 and still delivered goals, but his legend is built on that first spell.
