Emmanuel Adebayor’s Spurs time (2011–2015) was a tale of two versions of the same striker. On loan from Manchester City in 2011–12, he was excellent: sharp movement, strong link play, and 17 league goals, giving Spurs a real focal point as they pushed for the Champions League. Signed permanently, he had flashes of that form—especially in 2013–14—but inconsistency, fitness questions, and changing managers meant he never quite became the reliable No.9 Spurs hoped for. He still chipped in with important goals and assists, and at his best he added power, pace, and a bit of chaos up front.
