Tottenham’s 1960–61 season is the greatest in the club’s history: the Double. Under Bill Nicholson, Spurs became the first team of the 20th century to win the First Division and FA Cup in the same season. They played fast, attacking, one-touch football that overwhelmed opponents, finishing 8 points clear at the top of the league. In the FA Cup final, Spurs beat Leicester City 2–0 at Wembley, with goals from Bobby Smith and Terry Dyson. The side featured legends like Danny Blanchflower, Jimmy Greaves, Bobby Smith, Dave Mackay, and Ron Henry. The Double defined Spurs’ identity: bold, entertaining, and historic.
