Ricardo Fuller was one of Stoke City’s most exciting modern forwards. Signed in 2006, he became a key figure in Tony Pulis’ side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2008. Powerful, skilful and unpredictable, Fuller combined flair with aggression and could produce moments of brilliance from nowhere. He scored Stoke’s first Premier League goal after promotion, against Bolton, and became central to the club’s survival in the top flight. At his best, Fuller gave Stoke creativity and attacking unpredictability that balanced the team’s physical style, making him a major fan favourite at the Britannia Stadium.
