Peter Crouch became a Stoke City favourite after joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a club-record fee in 2011, bringing Premier League experience, aerial strength and technical quality to Tony Pulis’ side; the 6ft 7in striker scored memorable goals throughout his seven-and-a-half years with the Potters, most famously a spectacular long-range volley against Manchester City in 2012, which won Stoke’s Goal of the Season; Crouch helped Stoke compete in the Europa League and remain an established Premier League side, later becoming the oldest player to score 100 Premier League goals when he reached the landmark in 2017, before leaving for Burnley in 2019 with more than 60 Stoke goals.
