Paul Osam was one of the standout players of St Patrick’s Athletic’s modern rise in the Brian Kerr era. He joined from Mount Merrion in 1988, spent the vast majority of his career with the Saints across two spells, and became a key midfielder in one of the club’s most successful periods. He helped St Pat’s win league titles in 1989–90, 1995–96, 1997–98, 1998–99 and 2001–02, as well as the FAI Cup in 1996. St Pat’s list him among their notable former players, while broader career records underline how decorated he was in League of Ireland terms.
