Josh McPake joined St Johnstone in June 2024 after training with the club late in 2023–24, signing a two-year deal at McDiarmid Park. Predominantly a winger/wide midfielder, he brought pace, direct running and end-product after coming through Rangers’ academy and a string of loans. His first Saints goal came against Dundee in January 2025. The big breakout came the following season: he hit a hat-trick vs Partick Thistle (5–1) and was named SPFL Championship Player of the Month for August 2025.
