Iker Casillas was Spain’s captain and starting goalkeeper at the 2010 World Cup and a huge reason they won it. Spain conceded only 2 goals in 7 matches, with Casillas keeping clean sheets in every knockout game. His defining moments include a crucial one-on-one save from Óscar Cardozo in the quarter-final against Paraguay, and in the final vs the Netherlands his famous point-blank save from Arjen Robben to keep it 0–0 before Andrés Iniesta scored in extra time. Casillas also won the tournament’s Golden Glove (best goalkeeper).
