Shelbourne’s 2024 season was one of the biggest in the club’s modern history. Under Damien Duff, they won the League of Ireland Premier Division, sealing the title on 1 November 2024 with a 1–0 win away to Derry City thanks to a late Harry Wood goal. It was Shelbourne’s first league title in 18 years. They were not a side built on huge scoring numbers, but on organisation, resilience and tight margins. Outside the league, they reached the FAI Cup quarter-finals, the Leinster Senior Cup quarter-finals, and played in Europe again, exiting in the Conference League second qualifying round.
