Keith Edwards was one of Sheffield United’s great goalscorers and a central figure in the club’s revival in the early 1980s. Across two spells at Bramall Lane, he scored 171 goals in 293 appearances, making him one of the Blades’ most prolific strikers. He was the focal point of the side that won the Fourth Division title in 1981–82, hitting a post-war club record 35 league goals, and later won another divisional Golden Boot in 1983–84 as United went up again. He is remembered as a ruthless, penalty-box finisher and a true Bramall Lane legend.
