Zinedine Zidane’s volley against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 Champions League final is one of the most beautiful goals ever scored. Just before halftime, Roberto Carlos’ looping cross dropped from the left, and Zidane met it on the edge of the box with a perfect left-footed volley. The ball flew into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper Hans-Jörg Butt helpless. The strike gave Real Madrid a 2–1 lead and went on to win them the trophy. It captured Zidane’s elegance, technique, and composure, becoming an iconic moment in Champions League history.
