La Décima was Real Madrid’s long-awaited 10th European Cup, finally won on 24 May 2014 in Lisbon after years of pressure and obsession. Madrid beat Atlético Madrid 4–1 after extra time in a dramatic final that looked lost until Sergio Ramos scored in the 93rd minute to make it 1–1. In extra time, Bale, Marcelo, and Cristiano Ronaldo finished the job. More than just a trophy, La Décima felt symbolic: it ended a 12-year wait for another Champions League and confirmed Madrid back at the top of Europe. It became one of the club’s most emotional and defining modern triumphs.
