Luis Figo’s Real Madrid spell was about class, control, and major symbolism. He joined in 2000 as a hugely controversial signing from Barcelona, becoming one of the first true Galácticos and a statement of Madrid’s ambition. Real Madrid’s official history page says he played 163 official matches, scored 38 goals, and helped the club win 7 trophies, including the 2002 Champions League. Figo brought dribbling, balance, creativity, and elite crossing from the right side, while also giving the team leadership and composure. He may not be the flashiest Madrid legend, but he was a key figure in the club’s early-2000s superstar era.
