Karim Benzema played for Real Madrid from 2009 to 2023, evolving from a supporting forward into the club’s talisman. Early on he linked play and created space for Cristiano Ronaldo, but after 2018 he became Madrid’s main scorer and organiser in attack—dropping between lines, combining, and finishing with elite technique. He won a vast trophy haul including 5 Champions Leagues and 4 La Liga titles, and finished as Real Madrid’s second-highest all-time scorer. His peak individual year was 2021–22, when he powered Madrid’s Champions League run with decisive knockout goals and won the Ballon d’Or (2022).
