Steven Gerrard’s Rangers reign (2018–2021) is defined by rebuilding credibility, then delivering the club’s modern-era landmark: the 55th league title. Appointed in May 2018, he steadily raised standards in recruitment, fitness, and mentality, making Rangers far more competitive in Europe and domestically. The peak came in 2020–21, when Rangers won the Scottish Premiership unbeaten with 102 points and only 13 goals conceded, clinching the title on 7 March 2021. He left in November 2021 for Aston Villa.
