Colin Stein was one of Rangers’ most lethal forwards of the late 60s/early 70s and a key name in the club’s greatest European night. He joined Rangers from Hibernian in 1968 and scored 60 league goals in 112 league games in his first spell, combining sharp movement with ruthless finishing. His defining moment came in 1972, when he scored in the European Cup Winners’ Cup final as Rangers beat Dynamo Moscow 3–2. Stein later returned for a second stint (mid-70s), and across both spells he scored 97 goals in 206 Rangers appearances, cementing cult-hero status at Ibrox.
