Steven Gerrard made a memorable appearance in a Rangers vs Liverpool Legends charity match at Ibrox Stadium on 12 October 2019. In that unusual game, Gerrard first played for the Liverpool Legends XI, then later pulled on a Rangers Legends shirt and appeared for the home side too — giving fans the rare sight of him representing both clubs on the same day. He played about 75 minutes for Liverpool’s side before switching to Rangers for the final 10 minutes. The event was organised to raise funds for charity and featured a host of former stars from both clubs.
