Frank Sibley was a major QPR figure as both player and coach. A defender, he made his debut as a teenager in the early 1960s and became part of Alec Stock’s great side.
He played in QPR’s 1966–67 League Cup-winning team, helping Rangers beat West Brom 3–2 at Wembley, and also contributed to the club’s rise through the divisions. After retiring, Sibley stayed closely connected to QPR as coach, caretaker manager and manager. His long service, versatility and loyalty made him one of the club’s most respected Loftus Road servants.
