Rodney Marsh was one of QPR’s great entertainers. A skilful, flamboyant forward, he joined in 1966 and became the star of Alec Stock’s exciting side. Marsh helped Rangers win the 1967 League Cup, beating West Brom 3–2 at Wembley, and was central to their rise from the Third Division to the First Division. Known for flair, tricks and spectacular goals, he gave QPR a glamour and identity that supporters loved. He later moved to Manchester City, but his QPR spell remains legendary.
