QPR won the 1966–67 League Cup in one of the club’s greatest moments. Then a Third Division side, Rangers shocked top-flight West Bromwich Albion 3–2 at Wembley. Alec Stock’s team were 2–0 down at half-time, but Roger Morgan pulled one back before Rodney Marsh equalised. Mark Lazarus then scored the winner to complete a famous comeback. The victory made QPR the first Third Division club to win the League Cup and remains a defining part of the club’s history. It also came during a brilliant season, as Rangers won the Third Division title too.
