Paul Lambert was the manager who drove Norwich City’s rapid modern rise. Appointed in August 2009 after Bryan Gunn’s dismissal, he immediately transformed the club, winning the League One title in 2009/10 with 102 points. He then took Norwich straight through the Championship, finishing second in 2010/11 to secure back-to-back promotions into the Premier League. In 2011/12, he guided them to a 12th-place finish, comfortably surviving in their first top-flight season back. Lambert’s Norwich side was aggressive, organised and fearless, making him one of the club’s most impactful modern managers.
