Pat Jennings was Northern Ireland’s defining goalkeeper, winning a then-record 119 caps from 1964–1986 and becoming the team’s constant last line of defence. He started all 119 internationals and kept 43 clean sheets, combining size, reflexes and commanding box control. His peak NI moments came at the 1982 World Cup, starring in the famous 1–0 win over hosts Spain, and in 1985 at Wembley, where a 0–0 draw with England helped seal qualification for Mexico 1986.
