Dennis Bergkamp’s goal against Argentina at the 1998 World Cup is one of football’s most iconic moments. In the final seconds of the quarter-final, Frank de Boer sent a long diagonal pass into the box. Bergkamp killed the ball dead with his first touch, flicked it around defender Roberto Ayala with his second, and finished calmly with his third past goalkeeper Carlos Roa. The goal sealed a 2–1 win for the Netherlands and sent them to the semi-finals. It remains a perfect example of pure technique, composure, and genius under pressure.
