Sir Bobby Charlton is Manchester United’s enduring symbol of class, resilience, and goals from midfield. He made a club-record 758 appearances and scored 249 goals—numbers that stood for decades. Charlton won the European Cup in 1968 and the Ballon d’Or in 1966, after starring in England’s 1966 World Cup win.
