Bryan Robson at Manchester United (1981–1994) was “Captain Marvel”: a ferocious, box-to-box leader who dragged teams through big games with power, late runs, and sheer will. He became United’s longest-serving captain, making 461 appearances and scoring 99 goals—huge numbers for a midfielder. Injuries constantly interrupted him, but when fit he was United’s heartbeat, lifting three FA Cups as skipper and later helping Ferguson’s side break through to win the first Premier League titles (1992–93, 1993–94).
