Maine Road was the home of Manchester City F.C. from 1923 to 2003 and remains one of the club's most cherished landmarks. Nicknamed the "Wembley of the North," the stadium hosted countless memorable matches, including league title celebrations, dramatic cup ties and local derbies against Manchester United F.C.. At its peak, Maine Road held more than 80,000 spectators and was renowned for its passionate atmosphere. Although Manchester City moved to the City of Manchester Stadium in 2003, Maine Road continues to hold a special place in the club's history and the memories of generations of supporters.
