Aleksandar Kolarov’s Man City spell (2010–2017) was built on a cannon left foot and serious versatility. Signed from Lazio in 2010 (reported ~£16m), he played mainly left-back but also filled in at centre-back under Pep. He wasn’t always first choice (often rotating with Gaël Clichy), yet he delivered big moments—especially free-kicks and long-range strikes—and was trusted in title run-ins. Across all comps he made 165 league appearances and scored 11 league goals for City. He won major honours including 2 Premier Leagues (2011–12, 2013–14), the 2011 FA Cup, and League Cups.
