Gabriel Jesus’ Man City spell (2017–2022) was a perfect Pep-era forward: relentless pressing, sharp movement, and goals spread across the squad rather than one superstar No.9. City signed him from Palmeiras in January 2017 and he became a flexible attacker—often starting wide, rotating through the middle, and thriving in combination play. He scored 95 goals in 236 appearances, winning a stack of trophies including four Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and multiple League Cups. In 2022 he left for Arsenal for a fee reported around £45m, chasing a more central, leading role.
