Joe “Big Joe” Corrigan is one of Man City’s greatest-ever goalkeepers. A City youth product, he became first choice in 1969–70 and stayed for 16 seasons (1967–1983), making 476 league appearances and well over 500 in all comps—still a club record for a keeper. He won the 1970 Cup Winners’ Cup, the League Cup twice (1970, 1976) and was City Player of the Year three times. He also earned 9 England caps and was in the 1982 World Cup squad.
