Scott Arfield returned to his hometown by signing for Livingston FC in January 2026 on a short-term deal through the end of the 2025–26 season. A high-energy, box-to-box midfielder rather than a pure playmaker, Arfield’s game is built on pressing, late runs into the box, quick combinations and leadership—qualities sharpened across spells at Falkirk, Huddersfield, Burnley, Rangers, plus time in America and League One. He’s also a Canada international after switching allegiance in 2016.
