Kolo Touré at Liverpool (2013–2016) was a classic squad pro: experienced, upbeat, and surprisingly important in moments when injuries hit. Signed on a free from Man City, he wasn’t brought in to be first-choice long term, but he delivered whenever called upon—most notably in 2014–15, when he stepped in during a centre-back crisis and helped stabilise things with his pace, aggression, and leadership. His Liverpool highlight is probably the 2016 League Cup semi-final vs Stoke, where he started and played his part as Liverpool reached the final (after Rodgers had left, but with that squad). He left in 2016, remembered fondly for professionalism and dressing-room influence.
