Diogo Jota’s Liverpool story (2020–2025) was about sharp movement, ruthless finishing, and big-game edge. Signed from Wolves in September 2020, he quickly became a fan favourite because he could play across the front line and score in bursts—especially with clever near-post runs and instinctive box finishing. Injuries interrupted stretches of his peak, but he still produced clutch goals and was part of Liverpool trophy-winning sides, including the 2024–25 Premier League title. Tragically, Jota died in a car crash in Spain on 3 July 2025; Liverpool later retired his No. 20 shirt.
