Curtis Jones is Liverpool’s homegrown midfielder who blends technique with rhythm-control. Breaking through under Klopp, he’s been used as an advanced No.8, a left-sided midfielder in a 4-3-3, and at times in more controlled possession roles. His strengths are carrying the ball through pressure, keeping it in tight areas, and combining around the box—plus he’ll chip in with goals (his Merseyside derby winner at Goodison in 2021 is the calling card). Development hasn’t been totally smooth due to injuries and competition, but he’s grown into a reliable squad mainstay: calm on the ball, tactically flexible, and very “Liverpool academy” in personality and edge.
